IRAN – Iran’s Talaeiyeh cruise missile has become new ammunition for the navy since the end of 2023. Apart from cruise missiles, Tehran also received a number of ammunition and other fleets.

Reporting from Reuters, reconnaissance helicopters, drones and sea cruise missiles are among the new weapons added to the navy’s arsenal that have been designed and produced by Iran’s military industry.

These Iranian-made missiles and drones are expected to become key elements in Tehran’s military hardware. However, western analysts say Iran sometimes overestimates its capabilities.

The arrival comes amid rising regional tensions between Tehran and Iran-backed militant groups on the one hand, and Israel and its Western allies over the Israel-Hamas conflict.

At the same time, Iran is also facing Western accusations that Tehran has sent drones to attack a Liberian-flagged chemical tanker in the Indian Ocean.

However, Tehran denied these accusations, as well as their involvement in planning Houthi attacks on commercial ships.
