The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting said that today, the North and North Central regions will have showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy to very heavy rain.
Rainfall from 0 to 13:00 on May 9 in some places is over 100mm such as Nhu Han (Tuyen Quang), 139.8mm, Bang Mac (Lang Son) 123.2mm, Yen The (Yen Bai) 114.2mm, Bo Ha (Bac Giang) 128.2mm, Hop Tien (Thai Nguyen) 114.8mm.
It is forecast that from the evening of May 9 to the early morning of May 10, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm.
In addition, on the evening and evening of May 9, the North Central region, the South Central Highlands and the South had scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, in some places over 50mm.

Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh from the night of May 11 to around May 15 also had scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain, the rain concentrated in the evening and night.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds. Localized heavy rain has the potential to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
