New AngoMart store creates 150 new jobs

The Noble Group, owner of the AngoMart supermarket chain, opened this Thursday (23) its 15th store, on Av. Fidel Castro, in Luanda, generating 150 new jobs. The ribbon cutting was done by the Minister of Commerce, Victor Fernandes.

With another 70 jobs created directly and another 150 indirectly with the opening of this store, AngoMart reinforced its status as one of the largest companies in the sector in which it operates.

According to the general director of Noble Group, Hugo Moutinho, AngoMart became a reference operator in 2021 and thus fulfilled its commitment to generating jobs, exceeding 4 thousand created.

Hugo Moutinho also revealed that next year, the group he represents intends to expand to another 14 provinces in the country and reach the mark of 100 stores (including Dukan stores) and reinforce its social responsibility.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Victor Fernandes, who was the main figure at this inauguration, highlighted that this type of actions contribute to ensuring that commerce continues to be the sector that generates the most jobs, as well as to the state’s coffers. He also highlighted the fact that the supermarket chain prioritizes national production in the products it sells.

The new AngoMart unit was built in a space of 1581 square meters and includes several other stores and a parking lot, expected to serve around 112 thousand inhabitants of the Benfica neighborhood.
