Nearshoring and electrical systems to be discussed at the second edition of Expo Electromecánica del Norte

The issue of energy and nearshoring will be analysed, and the Comarca Lagunera will be promoted as an area suitable for relocation, as it has sufficient electricity to supply new companies.

This is part of the second edition of the Northern Electromechanical Expo, which will take place from September 4 to 6 at the Expo Feria de Gómez Palacio Convention Center, in conjunction with the College of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Association of Electrical Contractors of La Laguna (Acelag).

José Vela del Río, president of the College of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineers (CIMEE), said that topics related to the Grid Code, electromobility, interconnection of charging centers will be addressed, presenting current trends and mandatory energy compliance.

There will be discussion forums where points of view will be shared on the current situation of the National Electric System, with particular interest to the northern zone and the Comarca Lagunera. The topics will be developed by experts, with the participation of members of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) in the area of ​​Distribution, Transmission, the National Energy Control Center (Cenace), municipal and state government authorities, as well as representatives of industrial chambers and the Private Initiative.

Experts will discuss the benefits of investing locally and positioning the region as a strategic point for economic and industrial growth due to Nearshoring.

Vela del Río said that around 1,200 people are expected to attend, considering that this is a very specific and specialized market that will be attending the conferences that are presented and the event in general.

The president of CIMEE said that there will also be an exhibition of different suppliers and manufacturers of the electrical sector, who sell products and services related to the electromechanical sector, as well as a business table where the most representative companies of the Laguna region will participate with the aim of generating a commercial exchange between exhibitors and participants.
