According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the whole country has more than 733,000 candidates registering for university admission out of a total of more than one million candidates taking the high school graduation exam.

As of 5:00 p.m. on July 30, the Ministry of Education and Training recorded more than 733,000 candidates registering for university admission, equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam.

In 2023, the whole country has 660,000 candidates registered for admission, equivalent to 65.9% and in 2022, there are 616,000 students registered – a rate of 64.1% compared to the number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam in the same year.

Previously, candidates nationwide had about 12 days to register to adjust their university and college admission wishes from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. today (July 30).

According to the plan, after the Ministry of Education and Training’s registration portal closes, candidates will not be allowed to edit their wishes. Candidates must pay the registration fee online from July 31 to 5 p.m. on August 6.

The Ministry of Education and Training has divided it into 6 phases for candidates in the provinces to make online payments for university admission registration fees in 2024. This is a new regulation to help ensure safety and convenience for candidates during the online payment process.

The Ministry of Education and Training divides the calendar into 6 specific time periods as follows:

The Ministry of Education and Training informed that the online payment process depends on connecting many different systems, so candidates may encounter system congestion. In that case, candidates should not try to access again immediately, wait about 30 minutes and then do it again.

In case of receiving a notification of a failed transaction, candidates can re-do it on that payment channel or switch to another payment channel option.

According to the plan, on August 19, training institutions will announce the first round of admission candidates. Before 5:00 p.m. on August 27, candidates must confirm their first round of admission online on the system.

From September to December, training institutions will consider the next admission rounds, update the list of successful candidates and enroll according to regulations.
