Country’s legendary actress Rafiyat Rasheed Mithila has received India’s prestigious ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’ film award. She recently won the best actress award for the movie ‘O Abhagi’ which was released in Kolkata. Mithila herself confirmed the award through a video message.
In this context, Mithila said, ‘I am very happy and overwhelmed. For this, our director Anirban Chakraborty, producer Dr. A big thank you to Praveer Bhowmik and our entire team.’
The movie ‘Abhagi’ released in theaters in West Bengal on March 29. Based on immortal fiction writer Saratchandra Chattopadhyay’s ‘Abhagir Swarga’, it is produced by Anirban Chakraborty. The screenplay is also written by him.
After its release, this movie created a frenzy among the audience. In addition to Mithila, Subrata Dutta, Devyani Chatterjee, Ishaan Majumder, Sayan Ghosh, Saurabh Halder and others acted in it.

The 14th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival was held in Delhi recently. However, Mithila could not attend the event. Director and producer Anirban Chakraborty accepted the award instead.
