Through his Instagram account, The 23-year-old model, who last year won the title of Miss Utah USA 2023, expressed that she had “made the very difficult decision” to give up the title. and thanked her family, friends and fans for all the support, however, she assured that she values life a lot and that leaving the title is the best thing for her.
“In life, I highly value the importance of making decisions that are best for you and your mental health. As individuals, we grow by experiencing different things in life that lead us to learn more about ourselves,” he wrote.
“My journey as Miss United States has been incredibly meaningful, proudly representing Utah and later the United States at Miss Universe. Unfortunately, I have made the very difficult decision to relinquish the title of Miss USA 2023,” she said.
The model also took the opportunity to reflect on her work as Miss USA and mentioned some of the causes she defended along the way.
“Every time someone asked me what my favorite part of being Miss USA was, I always shared how much I loved working with Smile Train, being a strong advocate for anti-bullying, gender violence awareness and prevention, dating, immigration rights,” he reflected.
