Mariana Rodríguez presents her third axis of proposals

With the aim of moving to a new city model, the Citizen Movement candidate for mayor of Monterrey, Mariana Rodríguez Cantú presented her third axis of proposals: “Monterrey of the Future”, which will be carried out through three fundamental needs: move, live and work.

“We have to continue promoting the center to be habitable and also generate these employment opportunities and rehabilitation of our avenues, our sidewalks… a city that is proof against everything to resist and overcome natural or artificial contingencies and have a city that is the height that takes advantage of the potential of each space by building vertically upwards.

To improve mobility in the city, Mariana announced that she will promote, in coordination with the state government, the construction of Metro Line 7, with the aim of providing service to the more than 3 million citizens who pass through the city daily.

This transportation system would start from the center of the city and could extend to the municipality of García, all of this along with the rehabilitation of sidewalks, safe stops and the management of new transportation routes. “This Metro line 7, which will run from Lincoln, to Juárez, to downtown, this will allow us to move three times as many people in the same DRT and thus be able to make public transportation more efficient and promote it,” he stated.

Rodríguez Cantú assured that he will seek to make Monterrey the capital of corporate nearshoring so that it is now known as the capital of innovation.
