He expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this natural calamity. Governor CV Anand Bose said that there was a loss of life in the storm in Jalpaiguri. I will do whatever is possible.

Jalpaiguri town, Mainaguri, large areas of Dhupaguri were destroyed by sudden storm on Sunday. Chief Minister said at night that five people died. Of the five people who died, two were residents of Jalpaiguri town. One lived in Gosala More and the other in Sen Para. Two others are said to be residents of Varnish area in Mainaguri. Mamata went to everyone’s house at night. He met their family members and assured them to be by their side.

Many people were injured in the storm. Some of them are admitted in Jalpaiguri Medical College Hospital. Some have been admitted to the hospital in Siliguri. Mamata went to the hospital at night and met them.

On Sunday night at Bagdogra Airport, Mamata said that the state government is on her side. Now that the MCC is underway, the administration will do whatever it takes. At night, he also informed what the administration is doing to deal with the situation. Relief work is going on.
