Local One Way, Vehicles Passing Kalikangkung GT Still Above 3,000 Per Hour

SEMARANG – Vehicles passing through the toll gate (GT) Kalikangkung recorded above 3,000 per hour until Saturday (6/4/2024) afternoon. Traffic engineering in the form of one way local regulations are still in effect today.

From MPI’s monitoring in the field, traffic flow is still relatively dense. A number of vehicles from Jakarta to Semarang-Batang were seen piling up in front of GT Kalikangkung.

Based on data from the Kalikangkung Integrated Post, vehicles entering Semarang are still above 3,000 units per hour. At 14.00-15.00 WIB, 3,407 vehicles were recorded passing through GT Kalikangkung towards Semarang-Batang.

Meanwhile, at 15.00-16.00 WIB there were 2,714 vehicles recorded. This number increased at 16.00-17.00 WIB, when there were 3,705 vehicles passing through GT Kalikangkung.

Meanwhile, there are no vehicles passing from Semarang to Jakarta. This is because one-way traffic flow engineering has been implemented since Friday (5/4/2024) evening.

Not only that, the Central Java Regional Police and PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang have also issued a discretion to implement local one-way traffic engineering on the 4th day of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, Saturday (6/4/2024) afternoon.
