Liverpool reclaimed the top spot from Man City with a 3-1 victory over Burnley, Tottenham came back to beat Brighton 2-1 in the Premier League series on the night of February 10.

After Man City beat Everton 2-0 in the early match and temporarily took the top spot in the Premier League, Liverpool reclaimed their position by defeating Burnley 3-1. The Kop has 54 points after 24 matches, 2 points more than The Citizens but played 1 more match.

Diogo Jota opened the score for Liverpool after a close-range header in the 31st minute. However, Burnley equalized 1-1 just before the break. Dara O’Shea jumped high and headed accurately in a corner situation in the 45th minute.

Entering the second half, Liverpool attacked aggressively and found victory over Burnley. Luiz Diaz increased the score to 2-1 in the 52nd minute. Darwin Nunez set the result 3-1 in the 79th minute. Notably, all 4 goals in this match came from headers.

Brighton opened the score in the 11th minute thanks to Pascal Gross’s successful penalty kick. Previously, midfielder Van De Ven fouled striker Danny Welbeck in the Tottenham penalty area.

The 1-1 equalizer came to Tottenham after Matar Sarr’s goal in the 61st minute. The comeback was completed in the 90+6 minute when Son Heung Min assisted Brennan Johnson to score the decisive goal.
