Liverpool Eliminated, Leverkusen Extends Unbeaten Record

Second leg results Europa League quarter-finals 2023/2024 is already known. Interestingly, no British representatives advanced to the semifinals, Friday (19/4/2024).

Liverpool and West Ham United are England’s remaining representatives in the Europa League quarter-finals. However, they have had a less than smooth journey this season.

Liverpool for example. Juergen Klopp’s team had to settle for being eliminated in the quarter-finals after losing 1-2 on aggregate to Atalanta.

Meanwhile, West Ham was eliminated by Bayer Leverkusen with an aggregate of 1-3. Leverkusen became the first team from Europe’s five major leagues to remain unbeaten in 44 matches in all competitions.

The other two teams that have qualified for the semifinals are AS Roma and Marseille. The Capital Wolves qualified for the last four after eliminating AC Milan with a 3-1 aggregate, while Marseille beat Benfica on penalties 4-2 after a 2-2 aggregate draw.
