There are and should be limits to everything. Every lawyer should take care of the reputation of the legal profession,” Bikebaev wrote on pages and Facebook.
He also said that the Presidium of the Republican Bar Association will hold a special extended meeting in the coming days with the participation of the heads of territorial bar associations on all issues related to this case.

Dear Chairman of the RCA Aidyn Bikebaev!
I share your concern about the reputation of the legal profession. I think that, first of all, it is guaranteed by the high quality of our legal assistance to citizens.
It is necessary to reduce our professional errors and harm to clients. Therefore, I propose to discuss raising standards to Western standards:
1) customer protection;
2) training of legal trainees.
The reputation of the legal profession is also guaranteed by our protection from real threats, and not by banning freedom of speech to ourselves,” Utebekov noted.
In the letter, he mentioned the court ruling addressed to Bishimbayev’s lawyer Erlan Gazymzhanov.
We all witnessed yet another unfounded private court ruling against our colleague. This time, lawyer Erlan Gazymzhanov suffered. I publicly spoke out in defense of Erlan… all alone. Alas, RKA has not yet supported him. There are no private rulings from judges or requests from investigators against lawyers in civilized countries. This is the most dangerous tool of pressure on our legal profession. Unfortunately, the RCA has not yet achieved the exclusion of “private traders” and representations from the legislation. Let’s discuss this painful issue at the meeting,” the lawyer urges.
He suggested that Bikebaev hold the meeting online.
The country’s leadership made a landmark decision – to show Bishimbayev’s case online. I suggest we show courage and also hold this RCA meeting live for everyone,” Utebekov concluded.
Earlier, Bishimbayev’s mother filed a complaint against Kazakh lawyers due to criticism of her son’s defenders.
