Lalo Rivera signs the commitment for an education with direction

The State of Puebla occupies the seventh place of educational lag, a situation that Lalo Rivera, candidate for Governor for the ‘Better Course for Puebla’ Coalition, will correct with proposals for educational management and financing, better conditions for teachers, teaching and learning, monitoring and evaluation, as detailed during the signing of the Commitment for an Education with Direction, which was held at the Madero University.

“Education has to be that engine to be able to have better opportunities in life, better development, a better state, combat violence and it is a fundamental pillar in any public policy of any State that wants to transition to a life and a best scenario,” emphasized the standard bearer of the PAN, PRI, PRD and PSI when beginning his presentation of proposals on the matter.

To provide quality education, it is essential to improve the conditions of teachers, with retirement management, services such as ISSSTEP, support to reform the System Unit for the Career of Teachers (USICAMM), continuous training and financial support.

Regarding Educational Management, it proposes to restore Full-Time Schools and incorporate Digital Classrooms 4.0; In terms of Financing with Schools of 10, the school infrastructure will be rehabilitated in the regions of Mixteca, Sierra Norte and Sierra Negra. Infancia con Rumbo will also provide financial support and scholarships so that minors in vulnerable situations can continue their studies.

In Teaching and Learning, the Online Education Platform will be implemented so that no young person between 15 and 24 years old is left without studying, the “Toda Puebla Lee y Escribe” Program will focus on initial literacy to strengthen reading and writing skills; and the State Institute for Educational Evaluation and Innovation will also be created.

In addition to the presentation of its proposals in educational matters, it signed the commitment For an Education with a Direction, which indicates that it will work to improve the quality of education in Puebla, focusing efforts to reduce certain lags and advance towards an educational level that allows boys and girls to fully develop their capacities and provide the teaching staff with programs for their training, updating and evaluation, as well as fair salaries, among other priority actions.

This commitment was also signed by Karla Martínez Romero, Representative of the Front for Education as Education Representative with Rumbo, who pointed out that at the national level of one million 629 thousand 211 minors, 924 thousand 45 are left without studying per year; while in the State of Puebla, of 100 primary school girls and boys who entered in 2007 and 2008, only 28 graduated at the higher level; and at the end of the 2024 school year, there are 42,573 6-year-old children outside the classrooms.

He also pointed out that the infrastructure conditions in various institutions are deficient, where there is a lack of electricity, computers, Internet connections, spaces for the disabled, drinking water and hand sinks, among other services.

In this signing of commitments and presentation of proposals were Liliana Ortiz; César Job Romero, Rector of the Madero Educational System; Joaquín Ramírez, Academic Vice-Rector UMAD and remotely Miguel Székely Director of the CEES.
