Senior Citizens’ Association is pushing for further steps to make work more attractive in old age
Vienna (OTS) – Yesterday’s call by State Governor Markus Wallner for increased incentives for longer working hours in old age is fully supported by Senior Citizens’ Association President Ingrid Korosec. Korosec also calls for further measures to promote longer working hours for older people.
“We have to design the framework conditions in such a way that voluntary work in old age is not only possible, but also as attractive as possible!”, emphasizes Korosec. It underlines the urgency additional tax incentivesto promote work in old age. “People who want to voluntarily work beyond the statutory retirement age need to be specifically motivated and supported!”
Korosec is once again reaffirming its long-standing demand for one Complete abolition of pension insurance contributions for working pensioners and adds: “Performance has to be worth it! That’s why further measures are urgently needed so that voluntary pensioners have more of their net income!”
