Korlantas says the Bocimi toll road is ready to be used for Eid backflow

JAKARTA – Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Raden Slamet Santoso said the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi toll road (Bocimi) KM 64-600 Ciambar District, Sukabumi Regency, ready to be used functionally for return flow for Eid 2024 .

This was expressed by Slamet when directly observing the improvements to the Bocimi Toll Road. Bearing in mind, the impact of the landslide that occurred caused the national route to experience traffic congestion during the 2024 Eid homecoming.

“In preparation for homecoming and return flows, especially on the Bocimi route, yesterday there was congestion on the national route, therefore today I checked again according to the PUPR minister,” said Slamet in his statement quoted Thursday (11/4/2024).

Checking the Bocimi Toll Road to directly see the progress of the repairs, which will later be put into operation when the Eid backflow reduces the increase in vehicle volume on the national route.

“To speed up the process of saving and making Jakarta’s B line functional, it is our hope that later, if we coordinate, we can use it when the flow reverses so that it can reduce the burden on the national route,” explained Slamet.

In handling homecoming and returning traffic, the National Police has an important aspect in the field of public safety to realize traffic security and traffic security.

“It’s not just smoothness, because the National Police in handling the homecoming flow, we must also take into account the safety and security aspects of the people returning home so that traffic security and security can be realized,” he stressed.

He hopes that if in the future the Bocimi Toll Road route B in Jakarta can be functional, people will be asked to be careful and prioritize safety.

“We hope that people can use this lane if we can coordinate it first, if it is safe and smooth then we can use it and people who pass through this must be careful. Later we will install signs and barriers so that people can pass through it safely,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Project Section Head Edi Yunanda said that the process of completing the protection for route B to Jakarta is still being carried out and will be completed tonight.

“We are still completing the protection to save route B. Hopefully we can finish it tonight,” explained Edy.

“We will finalize the protection that is needed so that it can be used tonight. The decision whether to use it or not as mandated will be the full authority of the police,” he concluded.
