The price of Kia cars is going to be higher in India in the coming month i.e. April 2024. The carmaker has announced a price hike of up to three percent across its model range in the country. According to the company, the price increase is due to increase in commodity prices and supply-chain related inputs. It is noteworthy that this will be the first price increase imposed by Kia this year.
The upcoming price hike will change the cost of all models in the automaker’s lineup including the Seltos, Sonet and Carance. The revised price list of Seltos, Sonet and Carens is likely to be released in the first week of April. At the same time, Kia has registered sales of about 1.16 million units. Out of which, mid-size SUV Seltos has sold more than 6.13 lakh units and Sonet has sold more than 3.95 lakh units. Meanwhile, sales of Carens MPV stood at 1.59 lakh units. Notably, Kia recalled 4,358 units of petrol-CVT Seltos last month to fix a possible error in the electronic oil pump controller. Apart from this, Kia is also working on the facelifted Carnival which is expected to be launched in the coming months.
