Kazakhstani tennis player presented with apartment in Astana

The Table Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan has made a generous gift to athlete Kirill Gerasimenko – a two-room apartment in Astana. This reward was recognition of his bright and successful performance at the Olympic Games in Paris, Liter.kz reports.

“Kirill Gerasimenko, the team leader in men’s singles, took ninth place at the Olympics in the capital of France, which is a significant achievement for Kazakhstani table tennis. Previously, no Kazakhstani had achieved such a result. As a result of this success, Gerasimenko improved his position in the world ranking from 46th to 37th place,” explained in the federation.

President of the Federal Scientific and Technical Committee Daniyar Abulgazin noted that Gerasimenko’s performance at the Olympics was a historic event for this sport.

“Throughout the tournament, Kirill demonstrated unbending willpower, skill and athleticism, showing that Kazakhstani tennis players can compete with dignity with the best athletes in the world,” he added.

Let us recall that Olympic judo champion Yeldos Smetov was given a 5-room apartment in the Zhambyl region and a Lexus LX 600.

The Kazakhstan national team completed its participation in the 2024 Olympics with seven medals.
