Kareena Kapoor will not be a part of Yash’s Toxic due to “date issues”

Mumbai : For all the Yash fans, we have an update on his upcoming film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Kareena Kapoor has walked out of the project due to date issues. “Kareena Kapoor’s dates do not match Yash’s dates for Toxic. “After making efforts to straighten out the calendar, the producers have amicably parted ways.” Now, the makers are planning a pan-India casting, reports say. The source said, “Toxic has a strong brother-sister sentiment and the sister character is very important to the story, which warrants the presence of a top star. The producers are looking to cast actresses with pan India presence for the role.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas. This film was announced in December last year. Along with the announcement video on Instagram, Yash wrote, “‘What you search for is finding you’ – Rumi…A fairy tale for adults TOXIC.”

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is jointly backed by Venkat K Narayan’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. According to the report of news agency ANI, the makers are ready to start shooting in Karnataka soon.

In a statement, the producers said, “Due to the lack of optimal facilities, all our big films are shot outside the state. Yash has expressed this concern for a long time, and to change this, we at KVN Productions and Monster At Mind Creations, the shooting of Toxic is starting in Karnataka. We have already constructed the sets on a large scale, creating many employment opportunities for the grassroots people, technicians and emerging talents in the state. We are working towards making a film of global potential.

The statement said, “As producers, we had options from various locations in India and abroad. The film features actors and technicians from multiple industries, even international talent, and it would have been more economical to set up base there. However, Yash and KVN took the initiative to set up Toxic headquarters in Karnataka before shooting parts of the film in other locations and showcasing the tremendous potential of their people.

Apart from Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, Yash has KGF 3 in his kitty.
