The Pakistan Army has said in a statement on Friday that the incident occurred in Bahawalnagar was resolved immediately by the joint efforts of the army and the police.

Regarding the videos, the Punjab Police issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on April 10, calling it a ‘minor’ incident and said it was presented out of context.

The statement said: ‘An attempt was made to create a false impression that there was a confrontation between the Pakistan Army and the Punjab Police.’
“After the unconfirmed rumors went viral on social media, an immediate joint investigation was conducted by both agencies in which the officers of both agencies reviewed all the facts and resolved the matter amicably.”
Punjab Police in its statement added that ‘Pak Army and Punjab Police are continuing joint operations in the entire province to bring terrorists, miscreants and dangerous criminals to justice. The people are requested not to listen to the fake propaganda of social media.
