Joe Biden’s deterioration worries Americans ahead of the elections

MEXICO CITY (apro).- President Joe Biden’s performance during the debate against Donald Trump, organized by the cable television channel CNN on June 27, has caused controversy due to the Democrat’s apparent deterioration.

During the debate, both politicians appeared confused and had apparent memory problems, causing Americans to question whether Biden and Trump are competent to be presidential candidates ahead of the elections next November.

A video of Biden has been circulating on social media, showing the president’s eloquence and energy in 2019 and 2020, in contrast to the Democrat’s performance during the recent debate, in which he stuttered, mumbled and stared into space.

Following the debate, American citizens have questioned whether Trump and Biden are seeking the presidency, since both are elderly men (Biden is 81 and Trump 78) and the performance of both calls into question their cognitive competence, which has resulted in questions about their possible performance as presidents if they become candidates for the presidency and win in the next elections.

Following the doubts raised by Joe Biden, the president tried to convince his party of his ability to try to continue leading the American nation: “I may not walk or talk as easily as I used to. I may not debate as well as I used to. But what I do know is how to tell the truth,” he declared the day after the debacle.

Elections to vote for the President of the United States are held every four years, on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The next presidential election will be on November 5, 2024.
