Jesus Nazarene, Redeemer of the World, is exalted as king

The consecrated image of Jesus the Nazarene Redeemer of the World was carried on the shoulders of faithful Catholics who arrived very early at the Santísima Trinidad Parish, in the El Gallito neighborhood of zone 3. Likewise, devout porters carried the litter of the Blessed Virgin of Dolores Mother of the Redeemer in surrounding places.

The Brotherhood of Gallito published on their social networks that the image came out at 10:30 a.m., on a journey of more than 11 hours. According to the shared schedule, the processional route will return to the temple at around 9:45 p.m.

The organizers shared that the message of Jesus Nazarene Redeemer of the World is based on the gospel of Saint John 18:36-37.

The allegory recreates the scene in which Jesus was interviewed by Pilate, when the Messiah declared “my kingdom is not of this world.”

In the story, Pilate questions Christ saying “are you a king?” and Jesus answers: “if as you say I am king, this is what I was born for.”

“This is why I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. “Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice,” says Jesus.

Through a broadcast on social networks, the organizers asked Catholics to pay special attention to the message of the anda.

The streets were decorated by devotees who came out to greet Jesus Nazarene, Redeemer of the World as he passed through different places.
