Iranian government declares three days of national mourning after assassination

The Iranian government condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, saying that “This act adds a new page to the regrettable list of crimes perpetrated by the Zionist and usurping regime” referring to Israel.

This Wednesday the Government of Irandeclared three days of national mourning, due to the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh. This measure reflected the deep shock and sorrow caused by the death of Haniyeha prominent figure in the Palestinian movement.

The national mourning also means that flags will be flown at half-mast for three days and ceremonies and commemorative events will be held across the country to honour the memory of the deceased. The population has also been urged to show solemn respect during this period of mourning.

For its part, the Government Iranian regretted the death of Haniyeh and indicated through a statement that the fact ““It saddened the supporters of the resistance and all the free peoples of the world,” so he announced three days of national mourning.”as reported by the IRNA agency.

“This murder added another page to the shameful list of crimes committed by the criminal and usurping Zionist sect Israel,” reported.

In the letter, he also condemned the “Brutal act” which took place after the political head of Hamas attend the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian.

It should be noted that Ismail Haniyeh He was killed along with one of his bodyguards at two in the morning on Wednesday, after an attack on his residence in the capital Iranian.
