Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) announced the policy on Thursday (2/5/2024).
The updated list includes British Defense Minister Grant Shapps, British Army Strategic Command Commander James Hockenhull, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sharon Nesmith, among other senior military officials, as well as the Royal Air Force’s Akrotiri military air base on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, the company Rafael UK, Parker Meggitt company and Elbit Systems company.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran designated the following individuals and entities of the British regime on its sanctions list for their deliberate support and facilitation of the actions of the Israeli Zionist regime, including committing terrorist acts against regional and international peace, systematic violations of human rights, incitement to war, use of “heavy weapons and prohibited weapons against civilians, blockade, displacement of the Palestinian people, expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied territories and continuation of the occupation,” said the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s statement on Telegram.
Israeli colonial regime forces have killed more than 34,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The victims who died were mostly women and children.
Britain is one of the suppliers of weapons used by Israel to massacre Palestinians in Gaza.
