The Eclipse of Women It is one of the comedies that Guatemalans and foreigners have enjoyed the most. The staging can be enjoyed in the Dick Smith Theater at the IGA Cultural Center and this March 8 they invite you to commemorate Women’s Day.
Directed by Jorge Ramírez, the cast headed by leading actress Mónica Sarmiento promises a night full of laughter.
The comedy narrates the supernatural event that takes place in a town one day after the mayor of San Miguel de las Cumbres argued with his wife.
He, being drunk and upset during the night of a lunar eclipse, expresses to his wife a sinister wish that is fulfilled. The event changes the lives of the people in the town.
The cast is made up of great figures from the country’s artistic world: Mónica Sarmientos, Pilar Samayoa, Jennifer Maquiz, Paul Cifuentes, Tita Mendoza, Joshua Flores, Efren Celada and Jorge Ramírez.

The comedy will be presented every Friday and Saturday until March 16, 2024, starting at 8:00 p.m. at the Dick Smith Theater of the IGA, in zone 4 of Guatemala City.

As reported by Mónica Sarmientos on her social networks, this March 8, women pay half of their entrance fee.
“Women, today, March 8, pay half the ticket! Last performances of “The Eclipse of Women”: March 8, 9, 15 and 16, 8:30 p.m. Dick Smith Theater at the IGA,” he reported.
