Invading families evicted in El Porvenir

A few minutes ago, the eviction process began for 210 families who, illegally, have occupied a large part of the homes in the El Porvenir urbanization, in the municipality of Valledupar.

Uniformed members of the National Police arrived at the scene, through the Childhood and Adolescence Group and the National Army, who have the support of the Municipal Government Secretariat, Person’s Office, Attorney General’s Office and Icbf, Social Management Office of the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar, among others. others. Likewise, the staff of the National Unit for Dialogue and Maintenance of Order (UNDMO), former Esmad, is attentive.

It is expected that the eviction will be carried out peacefully and voluntarily by the families who have occupied the properties for several years, said the Secretary of Government of Valledupar, Felipe Murgas, who added that the objective of this measure is to continue with the delivery process to the beneficiaries and comply with judicial ruling T946 of 2011.

He explained that the eviction procedure responds to a judicial ruling that the Municipal Administration must enforce, since the homes must be delivered to the successful bidders, who are people who are currently in neighborhoods such as Altos de Pimienta, and must be relocated. as soon as possible.

“We hope to achieve dialogue and agreement between the parties to make this court order effective. The rights will be guaranteed to all people who are in the place, mainly minors,” he explained.

The El Porvenir urbanization, which arose in compliance with a court ruling, is made up of 758 homes built, of which 226 were delivered to the beneficiaries and the rest have been illegally occupied.
