It is expected that the eviction will be carried out peacefully and voluntarily by the families who have occupied the properties for several years, said the Secretary of Government of Valledupar, Felipe Murgas, who added that the objective of this measure is to continue with the delivery process to the beneficiaries and comply with judicial ruling T946 of 2011.

He explained that the eviction procedure responds to a judicial ruling that the Municipal Administration must enforce, since the homes must be delivered to the successful bidders, who are people who are currently in neighborhoods such as Altos de Pimienta, and must be relocated. as soon as possible.

“We hope to achieve dialogue and agreement between the parties to make this court order effective. The rights will be guaranteed to all people who are in the place, mainly minors,” he explained.

The El Porvenir urbanization, which arose in compliance with a court ruling, is made up of 758 homes built, of which 226 were delivered to the beneficiaries and the rest have been illegally occupied.
