Indonesian National Team Flies to Saudi Arabia

Indonesian National Team have left the hotel where they were staying in the Senayan area, Jakarta. The team led by Shin Tae-yong left for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

On-site monitoring, squad Indonesian National Team started going down to the hotel lobby since 09.40 WIB. One by one, 12 Garuda Squad players entered the bus that had been waiting to take them to the airport.

After Shin Tae-yong arrived at the lobby, the Indonesian National Team group left for the airport at around 09.55 WIB. A total of 12 players left Jakarta for Saudi Arabia. Adi Satryo, who was absent from training yesterday, has now rejoined the squad.

Not only Shin Tae-yong and 12 Indonesian National Team players who left for the airport. But also the Head of the National Team Agency (BTN), Sumardji, also accompanied the group. It was observed that Sumardji was the only Exco PSSI who accompanied the Garuda Squad.

The Indonesian National Team group in Jakarta is scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia today. It is known that the plane carrying the Garuda Squad will take off at 11.50 WIB.

Meanwhile, 14 players who have careers abroad will follow gradually to Saudi Arabia to join the Indonesian National Team. It is known that overseas players will arrive today and tomorrow.

As is known, the Indonesian National Team is in Group C with Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahrain, and China. In total, there will be 10 matches played by the Garuda Squad with details of five home and five away.

The Indonesian national team will begin its fight against Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Friday (6/9/2024) early morning WIB. Then host Australia at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
