Happy news comes from the world of sports. Indonesia has just won the vote as host World Gymnastics Championships (FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships). The event will be held next year.
In the press release received SINDOnewsFriday (3/5/2024), Indonesia was selected as the host of the World Gymnastics Championships based on voting from the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
“In an electronic vote held this week, the FIG Executive Committee has approved the allocation of the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (PB Persani). The event will be held in the city of Jakarta on 19-25 October 2025.” This is an excerpt from FIG’s official statement signed by FIG Secretary General (Sekjen), Nicolas Buompane.
Welcoming this trust, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo did not want to waste the momentum. Dito indicated that Indonesia would be a good host.
“Thank God, international trust has been given to Indonesia again. Please pray and support,” said Dito Ariotedjo, Friday (3/5/2024).
Indonesia will later host the 53rd World Gymnastics Championships in history. This biennial event was last held in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2023 with the United States as the gold medal winner.
