The head of Indert commented that “in the countryside, when a couple separates, if the property title is in the name of the man, in 100% of the cases the women must leave the home with their children and remain in the streets, that is why this is a protection system for women.”

“Of every 10 titles currently awarded, 6 are to women, achieving a historic percentage of 60% of women as land owners. The institution works jointly with the Ministry of Women, in order to articulate efforts for the comprehensive protection of women and their children,” she added.

According to Ruiz Díaz, “what I wanted to reduce the interest rate was to promote safe homes, because it is known from the conditions of economic development that when a property is in the name of a woman, she is empowered. It is not only a question of gender, but also of child protection. A woman empowered with a property title feeds her child better; That’s what the studies support; There is 40% more academic performance and at the same time, her children enjoy a better quality of life.”

“Likewise, the impact on households is that a phenomenon occurs and women, owners of their land, feel in a position to make decisions regarding family expenses and take better measures, which include better food conditions for their families. children and greater investment in their education,” he said.

Finally, he highlighted that “from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), this revolution that the government of President Santiago Peña is starting is being observed with great interest. In Latin America it is seen in an interested way, and even the forum of the Specialized Meeting on Family Farming is requesting that we explain how we have achieved it.”
