285 candidates have been nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. This was reported by the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
196 individuals and 89 organizations were nominated for the award. In 2023, 351 candidates were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, but the record number of nominations was 2016, when 376 candidates were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The award will be presented in autumn in Norway.
The full list of nominees is traditionally kept strictly confidential and can only be published 50 years after the awards are given.
Despite this, every year information about the nomination of this or that candidate appears in the mass media from those organizations or persons who have the right to nominate.

Nominations for the award are open until January 31st, after which only members of the committee retain the right to nominate at their first meeting, usually in February.
