Raof Hasan said in the X-linked post that Imran Khan has both the dream and the ability to bring Pakistan out of this critical situation. He is the one who repaid the overwhelming faith and trust of the people. But his mandate was stolen in the dark of night.
He also said that the current situation is hitting the very core of the country’s ‘democratic norms and ideals.’ It is also an expression of ‘indifference to the national interest and the welfare of its people’.
Referring to a possible coalition government led by the PML-N, he said, “The decision to form a government with a bunch of criminals who have been rejected by the people reflects more deeply the picture of the country going through serious challenges.”
Referring to this possible alliance as ‘the forces of darkness’, Raof Hasan urged them to stop it. He said, ‘power should be handed over to those whom the people have chosen as leaders.’
