The Ice and Snow Festival which opened in Harbin, China is very popular these days. State media is also promoting this festival, but there is no news in these media that China’s economy will be gloomy this year.

Harbin, with temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius, is literally a kingdom of ice.
It is an ice and snow festival with a 40-year history, and this year it is unusually popular and recording the highest tourist revenue ever.
Instead of focusing on large ice sculptures and nighttime views, it draws crowds with things to see and enjoy aimed at younger generations.

We put a lot of effort into creating unique attractions, such as building an ice slide 500 meters long and as tall as the 4th floor of a building, and even airlifting a Fire Phoenix drone and camels from other areas.

State media praise it as an example to boost domestic demand and economic recovery.
In this context, a recent situation has arisen where predictions are repeated that this year’s economic growth rate will be lower than last year’s.
As grim predictions and political criticism emerged even from within China, a gag order was issued.
Business media editorials highlighting rampant formalism, bureaucracy and political failure were deleted, and the Ministry of National Security said it would respond harshly to negative comments.
Top leaders have called for strengthening propaganda and public opinion warfare, saying that China’s economic “brilliant theory” must be sung.
