The Ministry of Transport has just approved a local adjustment of Noi Bai airport planning for the 2021-2030 period, including the addition of a vehicle gathering yard, ground equipment and high-rise parking garage.
Accordingly, for airport infrastructure planning, a parking lot for vehicles and ground equipment will be added at the western location of the aircraft apron of passenger terminal T2; In addition, a practical training center for aircraft firefighting rescue personnel is also added at the southwest location of the airport.

In the planning of the general technical infrastructure system, the planning of a high-rise parking garage at the location east of the Air Traffic Control Tower along with the connecting traffic system is added.
The Ministry of Transport assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to manage and implement planning in accordance with current regulations; Review and complete planning documents and drawings to ensure compliance with approved content.
The Ministry also noted that in the next steps of implementation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and relevant units will continue to review, calculate and determine technical factors to ensure reasonableness, make adjustments and handle content within authority, report to the Ministry of Transport for consideration for content beyond authority (if any).
