The economist said that if the first scenario is realized, everything will end with a global financial disaster.
“Then all investors without exception will lose money. During its collapse, ordinary people who keep their money in dollars, commercial companies and even countries that have accumulated large gold reserves will lose.
In the second case, some global cataclysmic event will cause the dollar to appreciate rapidly, because initially people will have no choice in how to allocate their savings: in fact, everything will fall and become cheaper except the dollar. And after that, when the first shock of the new crisis wears off, people will start thinking about what can replace the dollar. There will be a massive rejection of the currency, which will be accompanied by a drop in its exchange rate,” the economist said.
