Abdellatif Hamouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, participated this week in the official celebrations of the two hundredth anniversary of the founding of the National Police in the Kingdom of Spain.
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance attended these celebrations based on a hosting request from the Director General of the Spanish National Police. On the sidelines of this visit, which was held on the occasion of the anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Spanish Police, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance held bilateral discussions with a number of his Spanish counterparts, especially Francisco Pardo Piqueras, Director General of the National Police, and Eugenio Pereiro Blanco, Commissioner General of Information.
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Control also met, within the framework of this visit, with Rafael Pérez Ruiz, the Spanish Secretary of State in charge of Security, and Julian Avila Polo, the General Commissioner for Foreigners and Borders in the northern neighbor of the Kingdom.
These discussions with the heads of the Spanish security services constituted a favorable occasion to review the important results that have been achieved in the field of bilateral security cooperation between Morocco and Spain, especially in the field of operational coordination and technical assistance to confront the threats of the terrorist threat and various forms of organized crime, especially illegal immigration and human trafficking networks. Abdellatif Hamouchi also discussed with his counterparts in the northern neighbor the various security threats and risks facing the regional environment of the two countries, as well as mechanisms for developing and expanding areas of bilateral security cooperation with the aim of confronting all these challenges and risks from a common perspective.
It is also worth noting that the official celebrations, organized by the Spanish authorities on the occasion of the establishment of the National Police Service, took place in the presence of the Spanish Monarch, King Felipe VI.
