Guairá launches for the first time 100 scholarships aimed at university students

ASSUMPTION. The Government of Guairá launched, for the first time, 100 scholarships aimed at university students, with its own resources. This, they said, was possible thanks to the work of the economic team that found the mechanisms to make resources available and allocate them for this purpose.

“For years, the Government of Guairá had a practically zero budget for scholarships, it is public knowledge, it is on the page of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) that only has G. 21 million for scholarships and that is practically nothing. Governor Cesarito Sosa made an effort with the entire economic team of the governorate and rescheduling was possible to obtain money from other financing sources,” explained Édgar Galeano, departmental secretary of the Youth of Guairá.

The 100 scholarships consist of financial aid for university students, so that they can cover their study and mobility expenses, among others. The requirements to apply are that they are between 18 and 35 years old, reside in Guairá and are students of technical degree programs or teacher training with a minimum average of 3.0.

Those interested in applying for these scholarships must present the following documents at the office of the Departmental Youth Secretariat: an authenticated copy of the identity card, certificate of grades with average, authenticated copy of the high school diploma, high school certificate of study , life and residence.
