The 32-year-old from Antwerp got off to a nice start with three birdies on the first four holes. After a bogey on the fifth hole, she managed two more birdies to take the lead.

She briefly had to give up the lead to the English Eleanor Givens, but on her last nine holes three birdies disappeared in the cup, against which she also had to accept two bogeys. With her round of 67 strokes, the best round of the day, De Roey ended day two with a score of 136 strokes, eight under par.

In the standings she is one stroke ahead of England’s Rosie Davies. In third place, three strokes more than number eight in the European Ranking, are the Swedish Lisa Pettersson and the English Annabell Fuller.
