CULIACAN, Sin. (approx). – The message in the “narcomantas” that appeared on Monday, March 25 in different parts of Culiacán where two agents from the Attorney General’s Offices of the Republic and the State of Sinaloa are accused would be related to the eight people still deprived of their liberty and who remain missing, as explained by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya in his weekly conference.

Asked about the events that led to the disappearance of 66 people (of whom 58 have returned to their homes), Rubén Rocha pointed out that it would indeed have to do with a problem of “robbery” or robbery by the people indicated in the “ narcomantas”, signed by Iván Archivaldo Guzmán.

“No, we don’t know more than what derives from an interpretation that they may have there, that they had predatory problems among themselves, so there was location. What you can presume, since at some point they had contact and that contact was conflictive, they talk above all about the issue of theft,” the governor responded.

To date, five men and three women remain missing, people among whom would be a couple of relatives of the agents accused of being ringleaders of home robberies.

In this regard, the Secretary of Security of Sinaloa, Gerardo Mérida Sánchez, warned that indeed those missing people, some of them would be relatives of those indicated on the “signs.”

And in that sense, the motive for the massive uprising of 66 people during the early hours of March 25 would have been robberies or “robbery,” as Rocha pointed out in his speech.

“This matter is believed or has been considered as far as is known, presumably that is the reason for what caused this entire incident of the 66 who left their homes, supposedly deprived of their liberty, but more than that, a family of the 15 that was mentioned, 14 appeared and one who is still absent, in this situation it is presumed that it was the incident or action that caused all this, an assumption that there was, as the governor says, that there was robbery , there was some extraction of cash, it is not very precise on our part,” he said.

In the narcomantas hung in various places that Friday morning, the Sinaloa Cartel warned that there was no war, and that on the contrary, they were in a “clean” situation since in Culiacán “robbery is not allowed, kidnapping, extortion, or payment of a flat.”
