Chub / Grünheide / Uzwil (ots) Special systems, including those for the food industry, will continue to come from Döbeln in the future. Zachert Private Equity GmbH (ZPE) has taken over the plant engineering plant of Bühler GmbH. The new owner guarantees all around 70 employees their current jobs and is planning a strategic further development of the location together with the experienced workforce. In the future, the plant will operate under the name Döbelner Anlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH (DAMB). The previous owner Bühler supports this process with long-term order commitments.

The restructuring specialist ZPE wants to strategically expand the business model at the Döbeln plant engineering plant. This is planned to be done by purchasing additional companies or parts of companies.

The upcoming process will be accompanied by an advisory board that includes, among others, the former Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich.

Olaf Zachert, managing partner of ZPE: “Especially now, in politically uncertain times, we believe in Saxony as a location and have therefore invested here. Maintaining jobs and the factory in Döbeln is important to us. Based on a clear strategy, we have now… Further expansion and realignment of production will be a priority. We will coordinate closely with the works council and the workforce.”

About the plant in Döbeln

The Bühler AG plant engineering plant in Döbeln currently specializes in the production of systems, particularly for grain logistics. The factory currently produces high-quality machines, particularly for the food industry. The company today has around 70 employees. The plant has belonged to Bühler GmbH and therefore to the Swiss Bühler Group since 2010. It was built in 1993 by the plant engineer Schmidt-Seeger.
