Family, friends and former teammates said goodbye to the tragically deceased hockey player Konstantin Koltsov on Saturday, April 27, who killed himself last month by falling from the balcony of a luxury hotel in Miami, where his ex-girlfriend Aryna Sabalenková was preparing for a tournament. The funeral service began at 10 o’clock.
The body of a hockey player who wore a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey, for example, was cremated in the USA. They were waiting to be transported to their homeland. The survivors chose a symbolic place for the last farewell. Specifically the stadium of the Junosť Minsk hockey team, where Kolcov began his hockey journey. And where will the remains end up?
According to Belarusian news outlets, the family buried the ashes in a cemetery near the village of Chudenichi. His former partner Sabalenková also mourned Konstantin after his death. “Constantine’s death is an unimaginable tragedy, I am heartbroken,” mourned the world number two shortly after Kolcov’s death.
