Fuel Consumption Reaches 100 KM/Liter, Here Are Tips for Fuel-Efficient Driving Using a Yamaha Fazio

JAKARTA – Riding a motorbike is a common activity nowadays, apart from being practical and efficient, motorbikes are also known to be agile, economical and easy to ride.

Talking about economy, Yamaha is again holding an eco-riding competition to test how economical the fuel consumption of the Classy Yamaha line up is at the Clan of Classy event in Jakarta on Sunday (19/5/2024).

At this event, participants had the opportunity to drive a Fazzio Hybrid to travel around the city of Jakarta for a distance of approximately 80 kilometers. Apart from riding on the Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid, they were also challenged to do the Eco-Ride Challenge.

Not only that, participants also compete to get the most economical fuel consumption results in their respective Fazzio Hybrid Series. With the majority of travel conditions relatively smooth, participants drove via Jalan Letjen Suprapto, then headed to Barito via Jalan Asia Afrika, until ending at one of the aesthetic cafes in the Matraman area.

Interestingly, participants also had the opportunity to pass routes that are widely used by the famous Sunmori (Sunday Morning Ride) community in Jakarta, such as the Senayan area and Jalan Dipati Unus.

Unexpectedly, one of the Eco Ride Challenge participants managed to achieve fuel consumption that could be said to be very economical, namely 102.8 kilometers/liter*. Meanwhile, the average test results for Fazzio Hybrid fuel consumption reached 84.4 kilometers/liter*.

The method used in the Eco-Ride Challenge this time is to use the full to full method which is measured based on the distance traveled while driving.

One of the bloggers participating in the Eco-Ride Challenge, Ari, said that in order to save fuel consumption, consistency in driving style is needed.

“To obtain economical fuel consumption results require consistency in driving style. “Starting from being consistent when opening and closing the gas to holding the ideal speed to reduce excess fuel consumption,” he said.

He added that braking also plays an important role in fuel efficient driving.

Furthermore, Ari revealed that consumption of the Fazzio Hybrid Series is very economical.

“These results again show that consumption of the Fazzio Hybrid Series is very economical. Behind the unique design and classy appearance, the Blue Core Hybrid engine on this motorbike is able to reduce fuel consumption to be more economical. Fazzio’s Blue Core Hybrid can also help with acceleration when the motorbike requires a greater torque. “Apart from that, these results depend on many factors such as the rider’s weight, choice of route and also riding style.” he said.
