Our health system is more at risk than ever due to ministerial failures

Vienna (OTS) – “According to Anschober and Mückstein, Minister Rauch has long noted how few Green health ministers are prepared to do anything for our health system. Because neither the nursing shortage, the shortage of doctors nor the well-being of the patients can motivate him to do any work or even make a decision. The Lorenz Böhler Hospital, now called the Vienna-Brigittenau Trauma Center, serves as a new example, the structural defects of which were known for years and is now facing closure,” said the liberal health spokesman and chairman of the parliamentary health committee NAbg today. All of the hospital’s calls for help to repair safety deficiencies during ongoing operations were simply ignored and ignored. “The AKH has neither the necessary nursing staff nor the operating room capacity. There is now a state of emergency in many hospitals and clinics, and the minister is also abandoning patients who are waiting for treatment, operations and healing. Why smoke still clings to his ministerial chair is incomprehensible and a loss for our country. This Minister of Health and Social Affairs is now a declaration of bankruptcy!” emphasized Kaniak, who called for quick new elections.
