Austrian unity party made up of ÖVP, Greens, SPÖ and Neos delivers health data of Austrians to the EU

Vienna (OTS) – For the liberal Tyrolean EU candidate NAbg. According to Gerald Hauser, today’s decision for an EU health data room is an “act of shame”: “The Austrian unity party made up of the ÖVP, Greens, SPÖ and Neos supplies the health data of Austrians to the EU, and therefore also to the WHO, without them Austrians should be asked.”

For Hauser, this is an attack on self-determination and the protection of highly personal data. “Nobody knows where this highly sensitive data will go. Certainly not only the WHO is interested in this, but also the international pharmaceutical lobby,” explained Hauser.

For the liberal politician, this act must be reversed: “We have a constitution, we have basic rights and we have the protection of our own personality, we will not let the ÖVP, Greens, SPÖ and Neos take that away from us.”
