Unlike some other teams, foreign players of Thanh Hoa club do not travel during the Tet holiday. They celebrated New Year’s Eve and had a New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve meal at the home of striker Le Thanh Binh – a teammate of the same club.
“This year, my family celebrates Tet in Thanh Hoa city. My house is near the team’s training site, so I decided to invite my foreign teammates to my house to celebrate Tet. I think that when they come to Vietnam to play football, also wanted to know about the traditional customs of our people. When I invited them, they happily agreed” – striker Le Thanh Binh shared with Lao Dong.
The meal had the appearance of midfielder Luiz Antonio, fitness expert Luiz Alberto – Da Nang club, striker Rimario Gordon and his two brothers.
The trays of rice that players born in 1995 use to welcome teammates are all traditional Tet dishes such as banh chung, pork sausage, boiled chicken…
Ms. Do Dieu Trang – striker Le Thanh Binh’s wife – went into the kitchen to prepare some more dishes for her husband and friends. At the dinner table on the last day of the year, they talked about football, life and family.
“When Tet comes, everyone has special feelings and wants to quickly return to their families. Although this is not a traditional occasion for Brazil or Jamaica, the foreign players all feel the warm family atmosphere” – Le Thanh Binh said. Thanh Hoa Club will gather again on February 12 (the 3rd day of Tet). Meanwhile, the foreign soldiers of the Thanh football team have been training continuously and without rest in recent days.
