A sick New Jersey father forces his six-year-old son to run on a treadmill because he’s “too fat.”

A few days later the boy dies after “chronic” abuse.

Christopher Gregor, 31, appeared in court Tuesday to face murder charges following the 2021 death of his son, Corey Micillo, from “blunt force trauma” following years of abuse. If convicted – Gregor faces up to life in prison, the Daily Mail reports.

Surveillance footage from the Atlantic Heights Clubhouse gym was shown in court during the trial.

In the security camera video, the 6-year-old can be seen repeatedly falling down the hallway as his father picks him up and puts him back on it.

At one point he can be seen biting his son on the back of the head before forcing him to run again, the NYP reports.

The speed of the corridor was too fast for the little boy’s legs to follow and he repeatedly fell down.

A few days after the gym visit, the boy’s mother, who shared custody of the 6-year-old with his father, saw her son’s injuries and reported them to an official with the New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency Protection.

She took the child to a doctor on April 2, where she said his father made him run down the hall “because he was too fat,” US Sun reported.

The 6-year-old’s mother is inconsolable

The next morning the little boy went to the hospital because he woke up stumbling, slurring his words and feeling nauseous and short of breath.

This prompted doctors to perform a CT scan – during which the 6-year-old suffered a seizure.

Medical personnel were forced to take measures to save his life, but they failed and the little boy died.

What did the autopsy show?

An autopsy showed the 6-year-old died as a result of blunt force trauma with a bruised heart and liver with inflammation and sepsis.

The father of the 6-year-old

His death was ruled a homicide in September 2021 after a coroner found the six-year-old suffered from “chronic abuse,” including blunt force trauma to his chest and abdomen.

After her son’s death, the mother created a private Facebook page called Justice for Corey to raise awareness of his case.

On that page he wrote: “I created this group to fight for justice for my son, Corey Micciolo. He was only 6 years old when his life was taken, by someone who was supposed to care for him and love him. My father”.
