five different stadiums, Ramiris strengthens the attack – Football – Sportacentrs.com

The “Auda” driven by Finnish specialist Simo Valakari was outside the top three (4th-6th position) from the 4th to the 28th lap of the standings, also in fourth place after the 33rd lap, but finished in 3rd place. Thus, in the history of the club, the record set last year was surpassed by two places. Two clubs – “Auda” and “Jelgava” (FS) achieved this year in the Virsliga the highest place in the history of the club, the strongest of which debuted in the club this year.

“Audas” had 34 players on the field, who were 3rd-4th. the most in the Premier League after “Super Nova” and “Liepājas”. But it was precisely thanks to “Audas” that 10 players did not exceed the five-game limit: Kriss Kārklinņš ranked 24th among 34 team members with only six games after minutes. At the same time, it cannot be said that “Auda” had a certain core of leaders throughout the season. Only four players played more than 25 matches in the main team in 36 rounds: Vyacheslav Isayev, Abiodun Ogunniyi, Aleksej Savelyev and Daniil Ulimbashev, to which we can also add Niko Bretschnaider, who played almost as many minutes as Ulimbashev.

Isaev played 30 games in a row on call, but in six games without him “Auda” had plans: the balance was 1-2-3, including 0:4 against “Liepāja”. A few minutes later, Isaev surpassed Ogunniji, who had played four more matches, without participating in only two (both times losing 0:1 to “Riga”). It must be said that this year there are no Latvian debutants in Virsliga in the ranks of Audas (last year there were two), the only club in the tournament without a single such player.

In terms of points, this season for Auda has not been much better than last year under the leadership of Tomislav Stipić. If we correct the points for 2022 (which for the formality of technical defeats we replace them with the victory actually achieved on the field), then we arrive at 54 last year and 58 this year. It is interesting to note that this year too with 54 points (assuming that the number of points of “Valmiera” and “Liepāja” does not change) “Auda” would have been enough to occupy third place, while last year 4th place he had 70 points and was far away from the top three. The reason is very simple: this year 3.-5. the place winners lost many points against the bottom five and were unable to take points regularly against the “Top 2”. What “Auda” has surpassed “Valmiera” and “Liepāja” is winning and earning points directly against the bottom five.

3.-5. points scored against (1) top two, (2) head-to-head, (3) against bottom five, (4) total.

3.-5. the season for those who won the place, to put it mildly, did not go well and we have already talked about the attack/performance problem of the “Valmiera” material. For “Auda” it was even more marked. Listen: the bronze winner “Auda” has the sixth most goals scored and only four goals more than the owner of the second worst attack of the tournament “Daugavpils”!

For “Audai” it was even more tragic until Režinaldu Ramiris acquired the rental rights to “Riga”. The Brazilian’s first match in the ranks of Auda immediately after reaching the equator of the tournament: Auda scored 17 goals in the first 18 matches and 27 goals in the second 18 matches. Ramiris scored 10 goals in 16 games. With him on the pitch “Auda” did not score a goal only twice (against “Valmiera” 0:0 and against RFS 0:3), while without him “Auda” had 10 zeros in attack! Yes, including four against “Riga”, but even without these matches the trend is evident.

Among others, Ogunniji and Saveljevs were the most productive of the team: six and five goals. Meanwhile, the precious midfielder Ulimbashev collected the most assists: nine, which became 6-7. championship scorer. On the other hand, Ramiris also added five assists to the 10 goals and in the “goals + assists” index, adding a few more points with the “Riga” shirt, the Brazilian finished sixth in the league behind Marko Regza , Jānis Ikaunieks, Andrejs Ilić, Emerson and Dodo. Ramiris was only five points behind the winner of this competition, Reža, and it remains only to guess who would be first if the Brazilian started the season with Audas straight away. He has 15 points in “Auda” in the middle of the season, 23 points for Regjas in the whole season.

Despite the complete domination of RFS and “Riga”, it was “Auda” that stood out in the tournament with the highest passing accuracy – 86% (RFS 84%, “Riga” 83%, then “Valmiera” with 79%, ” Metta” and “Liepāja” with 78%). This also resulted in a high percentage of ball control, and if the goal was not very successful, this style of play allowed the defense statistics to be kept at one level. “Auda” conceded 39 goals – the third fewest goals conceded after RFS and “Riga”. Particularly noteworthy are the indicators against the bottom five: 10 goals conceded in 20 matches, seven of them scored by the inconvenient opponent “Tukums 2000”, three goals conceded in 16 matches against “Jelgavu”, “Daugavpils”, “Mettu” and “Supernova”!

With “Auda” this year it has often been like this: either they play hard/successfully, or they suffer a lot. If last year “Auda” with fifth place in the table never conceded more than two goals(!), this year there have been five matches of this type, of which 0:4 against both “Valmiera” and “Liepāja” (against these direct competitors of the season the greatest devastation!). Once it happened that as many as five entered: against RFS after the break 0:0, then 0:5 during the fight, finally 2:5. Audas’ goal tally is also particular: 22:11 in the first half, 22:28 in the second. “Auda” conceded only six goals in the first 40 minutes of 36 matches, while starting from the 41st minute, 33 goals.

Speaking of goalkeepers, until the moment Fabrics Ondoa left Latvia (the most minutes in the Audas shirt last year, in 2022), the Cameroonian played 12 games, Robert Ozol played eight games. In summary, of course, Ozols moved on, accumulating a total of 19 games. Five more games for Nik Alexandrov. From a purely statistical point of view, it was young Aleksandrov who unbuttoned the goalkeepers of the national teams of Cameroon and Latvia – Nika conceded one goal in five matches, dramatically scoring against “Riga” (0:1) in the 88th minute. The other four dry matches for Alexandrov, seven in total for Ondoa, only five dry matches for Ozol.

Taking into account the weak attack and safe defense, “Auda” matches logically became the least productive (shots + conceded) of the entire tournament.

Team scored + allowed

“Audai” had the fourth largest number of legionnaires on the field. It’s true, if we count the total number of foreigners who have played at least once, “Audai” jumps to 20, and only “Liepāja” (22) and “Riga” (21) have collected more. In the second half of the season, four Ivorian footballers played at least once for Audas, but none of them played more than 150 minutes in total. At the same time, 8 of the 12 Audas players with the most playing minutes were guest players. Geography of the “Auda” legionnaires: Ivory Coast (four), Senegal, Brazil (two each), Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, France, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Mali, Cameroon, Ghana, South Sudan and Argentina (one each ).

The average age of Audas, counting full years at the end of the season, was 23.8, but taking into account the exact age of the players at mid-season and the proportion of playing time, the real figure was 24.9 . Only three teams were older than “Auda”, but two of them (“Liepāja” and “Riga”) by a little, or on average 0.1 years. In any case, the aforementioned 24.9 years in the European context is not a great character, but in the Premier League it is already considered a rather old team. Four “Audas” players were at least 30 years old at the end of the season: Armands Pētersons (32), Ulimbaševs (31), Isajevs (30) and Berjkvists (30), who left Latvia in the summer. More than half of the team, or 18 players, were 20-23 years old at the end of the season, but only one player – Sekū Sanogo, originally from Mali – was a teenager.

In terms of cards, “Auda” was closer to the “nervous end”. In particular, you received many red cards, more only for “Valmiera” (nine), “Auda” eight. Four football players earned at least two suspensions in the Premier League this year, and two of them represented “Audu”: Ulimbashevs and Ramiriss. Interestingly, Ulimbashev received only one yellow card in 29 matches (not counting the two yellows that turned into reds). Saveljevs was the king of yellow cards in “Auda” – 10 yellow cards. Only four players in the Premier League have more yellow cards. Two footballers with the least playing time in “Auda” (60 and 26 minutes) also earned a yellow card each.

In both 2022 and 2023 Ulimbashev (2nd and 4th), Mikuličs (4th and 6th) and Saveljevs (5th and 3rd) entered the top ten of “Auda” in terms of playing time. Rezendi missed a bit (12th and 11th)

“*” – The technical defeat against “Metta” (in reality the match ended 2:0 in favor of “Audas”) was counted as a victory for “Audas” to more faithfully reflect what was done on the pitch.

A club with a long history, moreover, with the most success of this history (third place) does not deserve to occupy the penultimate place in the fans’ ranking before the relegated “Super Nova”, but it is so. On the other hand, last year the average was even lower (188), and this year “Auda” has formed a nice group of fans who tirelessly and reliably sing at every home match (and not only).

“Auda” reached the highest number of viewers (450) on April 2, when it hosted “Valmiera” and suffered a fiasco with 0:4. The bronze winner came closest to this indicator on September 30 in the nominal home match against “Riga” (352). The lowest figure at the beginning of the season – in the very first match in winter conditions against “Super Nova” 86 fans were registered – became one of the three matches of the Premier League season, where not even 100 spectators gathered. The other two similar games belong to the “Super Nova” from Salaspils.

“Auda” lives in the Virsliga without its real home arena and in 2023 the Virsliga hosted its opponents in five (!) different stadiums – six matches each in the “Mežaparks Sport Village” and the stadium named after Jānis Skredels, (only ) four matches in the “Skonto” stadium and one match each, also in the “LNK Sport Park” and the Sloka stadium…

Legionaries
Average: 8.3 legionnaires* per game, 4th place in the Premier League (three teams have more legionnaires). “*” – average number of legionnaires on the field (including substitutes).

Correctness
Average: 2.78 points per game (three points for red, one for yellow), 7-8. place in the Premier League (two less disciplined teams). The average in the Premier League is 2.60 points.
