The promotion of different regulations to benefit early childhood in El Salvador has created a legal framework that guarantees care from before conception, pregnancy, postpartum, early childhood, childhood and adolescence, a fact that the first lady, Gabriela de Bukele stood out.
The first lady highlighted that, parallel to the security strategy, which has allowed Salvadorans to live together without fear of gangs, all the resources have been provided to guarantee the comprehensive development of early childhood through the creation of three laws: Born with Affection, Love Turned into Food, and Growing Together.
“Along with the security strategy, we have promoted a legal framework to Grow Together and for El Salvador to prioritize the comprehensive development of new generations from Early Childhood,” said Gabriela de Bukele.
With the entry into force of the regulations, El Salvador has a legal framework that allows the implementation of a new model of care from a respected birth and strengthens nutrition through the promotion and protection of breastfeeding.
Likewise, this set of laws has created spaces in which the rights of children are prioritized, respected and protected, this with the implementation of the Grow Together law. Actions have been developed that strengthen the cultural identity of each child.
«The path is neither quick nor easy, and requires the commitment and daily work of everyone. Our childhood needs us to learn to Grow Together,” added the first lady.
These laws have granted the country the recognition of different international organizations such as the United Nations, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), universities, among other bodies; This is due to the positive impact that each one has had on the population.
