Bulgarian farmers are protesting against the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
Publika.az referring to foreign media, Bulgarian farmers have started protest actions due to the parliament’s decision not to extend the temporary restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Farmers’ organizations said the protests would be peaceful and indefinite until parliament reconsiders Ukraine’s decision to lift a ban on imports of some agricultural products.
Farmers are confident that their protest will be supported by about one million citizens.
It should be noted that earlier, the farmers said that they did not agree with the compensation offered by the government and wanted subsidies for the industry.
