The viral post is being shared with the claim that this is a video of an incident that took place in Punjab after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were announced.
Vishvas News found this claim to be false in its investigation. The video going viral is of a demonstration by Khalistan supporters outside the Indian Consulate in Vancouver, Canada, where a case of insult to the Indian Constitution and the national flag came to light. The video of this incident from Canada is being shared in the Indian context.

Social media user ‘Krishna Kumar’ went viral Video id=’action_msg_1373’> Link) he wrote, “Copies of the constitution are being burnt, the tricolour is being burnt…but the blood of the Bhim Army, Bhim Sena people is not boiling…where are those who saved the constitution, they used to walk during elections with the constitution in their hands…they won by spreading confusion among the people by saying that they are going to change the constitution, now when copies of the constitution are being burnt by Khalistan supporters, where have they died?”

A trademark like ‘B Media’ is visible on the viral video clip. To find the original video, we reverse imaged its key frames and in the search we found the original video on a YouTube channel named ‘Media Bezirgan’, which was uploaded on June 7, 2023.
According to the information given, “This is a video of the protest held in front of the Indian Consulate in Vancouver, Canada, in which the Indian flag and the Constitution of India were insulted.”
Other news reports also mention the incident of taking out a tableau depicting the assassination of Indira Gandhi and insulting the Indian national flag on the 40th anniversary of Operation Blue Star in Canada.
Hindustan Times of June 9 Report According to him, after the incident in Canada, India has lodged its objection at the diplomatic level.

We contacted Punjab Jagran’s Bureau Chief Inderpreet Singh regarding the viral post. He confirmed that no such incident took place in Punjab on the anniversary of Operation Blue Star.
