Social media users are sharing this video considering it to be recent.

A Facebook user named Janardan Mishra (Archive) shared this video on April 26 and wrote, “If you have to vote for a goon, then vote for the goon because you have to defeat Modi – Atishi Marlena and he came to change politics. ,

We listened to the video carefully to investigate this post. In this, Atishi is talking about the alliance of SP and BSP, whereas there is no alliance of SP and BSP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. We suspected that this video might be old.
To investigate, we searched the screenshots of this video on Google reverse images. We found this video uploaded in several social media posts (Archive) in 2019.
We also found this video uploaded on many YouTube channels in 2019.
We also received many media reports on this statement of Atishi. According to an Indian Express report dated 28 April 2019, “While addressing a public meeting at Tikona Park, Atishi can be heard saying that only the SP-BSP alliance can defeat the BJP in UP and even if “Their candidates may have criminal background, but they should vote to keep BJP away.”
